8 Priority Pass Lounges at JFK’s Terminals 1, 4, 7, and 8 – Best Option?

If you’ve felt the pain of overcrowded JFK Airport terminals, you’ll surely enjoy the exclusivity of premium lounges such as Priority Pass. JFK’s bad design coupled with high passenger volume leads to overcrowding and long lines. The chaos can be overwhelming for travelers, especially those with layovers or delays.

At Priority Pass lounges in JFK, the atmosphere is completely different. Instead of being surrounded by crowds of passengers and loud announcements over the intercom, you’ll find yourself in a cozy and quiet space.

Priority Pass JFK Terminal 7 Lounges

Upon checking Priority Pass lounges at JFK’s Terminal 7 in January 2024, I was shocked to learn that Alaska Lounge is no longer part of the Priority Pass network of lounges. In fact, there are no more Priority Pass lounges that you can access in Terminal 7.

I will update this post when and if this changes.

Alaska Lounge – No longer part of Priority Pass

The Alaska lounge at JFK is on the Mezzanine Level in Terminal 7 (above security) and is open 24 hours a day, 5 days a week.

Guests are permitted to bring two guests or immediate family into the lounge, and children under 2 are admitted free. The lounge may be restricted due to capacity constraints, so Priority Pass holders may be added to a waitlist.

To access the Alaska Lounge, members must present their Priority Pass card and a valid same-day boarding pass. Cardholders are allowed up to three alcoholic drinks per adult. Premium drinks are subject to payment. Access to the lounge is permitted up to three hours before departure.

These drinks are available at no additional cost to the guest. Some of the lounge’s other amenities include a business center, showers, and a kids play area.

Priority Pass JFK Terminal 8 Lounges

Bobby Van’s Steakhouse

The Bobby Van’s Steakhouse lounge at JFK Terminal 8 accepts all Priority Pass memberships. The lounge has comfortable seating, free Wi-Fi, and complimentary snacks and drinks. You can also take a shower in the lounge if you need to refresh before your flight. The lounge is open from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily, and cardholders must present a valid Priority Pass card and boarding pass with confirmed same-day travel to gain access.

Although Bobby Van’s is accessible through JFK Priority Pass, it functions more as a restaurant than a lounge. Kennedy airport cardholders receive up to $28 off their meal and drink total, including one guest. Any further attendees will not get the same discount, so the original cardholder must foot any additional charges that exceed the credit.
