YotelAir Sleep Pods Guide

YotelAir Sleep Cabins, a cutting-edge sleep pod technology, are designed to offer travelers a unique and comfortable resting experience at various airports. Originating from the innovative hospitality brand Yotel, these sleep cabins bring the convenience and smart design of Yotel’s hotel rooms to the transit zones of major airports.

What is Yotel or YotelAir?

Yotel is the company behind YotelAir, an innovative airport sleep cabin that offers short-term accommodations in airport terminals. It was founded in 2002 by Simon Woodroffe and Gerard Greene, and now has locations all over the world such as London, Amsterdam, Paris, New York City, and Tokyo.

The idea behind YotelAir is to provide affordable yet comfortable rooms for those who need a place to rest or work during long layovers or flight delays. These compact rooms are equipped with all the necessary amenities, including a bed, bathroom, workstation, and free Wi-Fi.

How does YotelAir work?

YotelAir rooms can be booked online or at designated kiosks within the airport terminal. They offer flexible booking options such as hourly rates or overnight stays. Once booked, guests receive a unique access code to their room and can check-in at any time.

The rooms are designed to maximize space and efficiency, with features such as adjustable SmartBeds and fold-out workstations. They also have self-service kiosks for food and drink orders, making it convenient for travelers who don’t want to leave the airport.

Why is YotelAir a game-changer?

YotelAir has revolutionized the way people think about layovers and flight delays. Instead of dreading long hours stuck in uncomfortable airport seating, travelers can now have a comfortable and productive stay at YotelAir.

It also offers a more affordable option for those who need a place to rest during their travels. With flexible booking options and reasonable rates, YotelAir has made airport stays accessible to a wider audience.

Moreover, YotelAir’s concept of compact yet functional rooms has inspired other companies to follow suit. This has led to the rise of similar airport sleep cabins around the world, giving travelers more options for comfortable and convenient accommodations during their travels.

History of Yotel:

Founding of Yotel: 2002

Yotel was established in 2002 by Simon Woodroffe OBE and Gerard Greene. Drawing inspiration from first-class travel, they ingeniously transformed the essence of luxury airline experiences into an exquisitely designed, compact yet lavish cabin.

From the information on its team page, it appears that the original founders are no longer listed as part of the team.

YotelAir Funding in 2005 for Prototype Design:

They got the help of aircraft cabin designers at Priestman Goode who helped to meticulously design and develop a prototype room that was showcased in London. This was after Yotel signed a financing deal with IFA Hotels and Resorts in 2005.
